Oh, hey! Here is the typical four months have passed so let’s catch up post. I’m pregnant! Number two is on the way and time is flying by!! As I write this we are half way there! HOW is that possible? With a toddler running around the days literally just go and as I sit there at night looking through photos of Sydney from a year ago I have to choke back tears. She will only be this little once and I’m feeling (hormonal) as though I need to bask in every little moment with her so I don’t miss anything. The photos on my camera are out of control and husband is one photo request away from biting my head off. But I NEED to capture it because I’m going to blink and she’ll be off to college. Insert cry face here!!
Phew, so life is busy and new baby (BOY!!) is coming and life is just GOOD! Toddlerhood is hard and we have our days but if life had a pause button it would be worn down at the moment! Sydney amazes me every day! She’s a year and a half and she mostly runs (rarely walks). She can climb up on the couch by herself and she’s talking. A lot! She’s starting to form little sentences and she can count to ten on her own which blows my mind! She has the biggest sense of humor and she’s strong willed and physically strong to boot! She is go go go from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. And as soon as she’s asleep I miss her to death. It’s the craziest roller coaster ever and I can’t help but feel like we’ve won the lottery for life when I put things in perspective.
New baby!!!! We are feeling him kick and move around. He’s just like Sydney in that way. I’m carrying much lower than I did with Syd and have way more aches and pains. Sydney loves to feel him kick and will randomly walk up to my belly and pat it and say baby and give it a kiss which is basically the best thing ever. And time is literally flying by. It took me a while to wrap my head around having a boy. With Sydney I was convinced she was going to be a boy and then this beautiful little girl came into our lives and now I’m in reverse mode. We have LOTS of pink so this little man will have some adjusting to do, ha! I think husband is pretty psyched and I love that these little babes of mine will have a bit of their own identities as far as gender goes. It’s pretty darn exciting and can I just say baby beanies and converse are going to be his jam if I have anything to say about it!
So our days as of late are filled with beach and pool time, watermelons and blueberries, reading lots of books, cuddles and kisses and the basic day to day. Perfection! And come November we’ll be hunkering down with new baby and adjusting to our ‘new’ life as a family of four!! I kind of can’t wait!
P.S. I’ve also recently started a booth at our local Farmer’s Market in Cohasset with my Mom! Our Two if By Sea Shoppe is slowly getting stocked on Etsy so please take a look!
